Vehicle Description This is a rare 1954 Chevrolet 3600.
It is 99% original, 1954 2nd series 3600 pickup.
Owner is selling due to health related issues, owner has no plans to sell it when starting the restoration in May 2018.
Note the rear bumper is not original.
This truck has 22,000 original miles and spent most of its life on a Kansas farm.
Current owner is the 3rd owner.
This truck has new Bias 20 ply tires, 80 PSI load range only 400 miles on the tires, 235 CI engine with good compression on all 6 cylinders, 105 psi and within 5 psi with no smoke.
This truck has a rebuilt carburetor, new float, valve lash set and oil passages all checked for potency.
This truck has a 4 speed manual transmission with granny, shifts perfectly and synchronizers work fine.
Brakes and all components, lines, drums, hardware, master cylinder all 100% new in 2018 comes with an extra set of Wagner brake shoes.
New interior includes vinyl floor mat, headliner, door panels, door hardware works and doors lock.
The original vinyl seat is intact no rips or tears and minimal wear.
Converted to 12 volts by previous owner.
New starter is 6 volt, new 12 volt battery, and new cables.
The lights all work and heater works fine no leaks.
Speedometer, and fuel gauge will need replaced.
Sending unit new and works fine, new points, rotor, cap, plug wires and plugs.
All new clutch, pressure plate, motor mounts, U Joints, Differential and axle seals, rear main seal (hard neoprene not wick type), shocks,and tailpipe.
Very smooth clutch operation.
New parts that owner has purchased but not installed yet due to change in health:
new windshield, door glass right and left, seals including vent windows, new tail lights and wiring, and side mount rear view mirrors.
Also has 2 6 volt starter cores that can be converted to 12 volt if desired.
