Vehicle Description Rare 1977 Ford F 350 Camper Special.
460 with 4 barrel AFB Carb.
Truck bed had liner so is in great shape with hardly a dent 5th wheel ball hitch and under bumper pull hitch Looks like engine has been rebuilt recently with new hoses, fuel pump, starter, freeze plugs etc.
C-6 Automatic Transmission Over-sized Camper Special Radiator Cruise Control A/C is complete but does not work Brakes at least 90% Steering Tight Dual Tanks with working tank selector.
Heavy Duty Dana Rearend with 3:
73 gears Decent tires Nice bench seat Dent in drivers door and a couple in tailgate Some light rust but no serious cancer type rust Trim overall good shape.
Truck runs strong with, no smoke and no noticeable drips/leaks.
Here is an article on it, Ford started by increasing the wheel base to an astounding 140' on a narrower eight inch tall one ton frame.
Added a single Dana full floating rear axle with larger tubes and twin I-beam front suspension.
Available only as a two wheel drive single cab.
The extended wheel base made for a more stable, better riding truck with less camper intrusion.
This eliminated the space behind the axle for the spare, which ford made up for with their Secret spare tire compartment in the passenger bed side with nicely done removable side panel.
Only 3058 units made.
Truck is a good runner as is and a great candidate for restoration.
Was going to restore but found a 1973 that was fully restored and went with that.
