For Sale: 1956 Nash Ambassador in Cadillac, Michigan for sale in Cadillac, MI

1 of 18
Vehicle Description Very rare 1956 Nash Ambassador LeMans.
Purchased the car out of Texas.
These were Ambassador Custom models that featured the dual side draft carburetor Nash Healy motor from the factory.
I have searched for any information such as production figures or sales literature and was never able to locate anything specific to these LeMans models as these cars were very low production.
The only information I was told was that in anticipation of strong sales for their Nash Healey line Nash produced a surplus of these engines.
As the Healeys did not sell as many as anticipated Nash had a surplus of these engines left over and in an effort to utilize them decided to create the LeMans model to add to their Ambassador line.
They were produced for 3 years from 1954-1956.
So this is the last year for this model and as a rule when a car company has a limited run the last year usually has the lowest amount of cars produce.
The only other noticeable item that denotes this as a LeMans is the LeMans nameplate which is on the rear quarter panels.
This car is just as I purchased it.
I have not done anything to it including drive it as my schedule did not allow me to find time to enjoy it.
This is the reason I am selling it The previous owner had this car restored, receipts.
The car was originally tri-tone green, black and white and the previous owner decided to have it restored in the original red, black and white colors which is much more striking.
This is an Ambassador so it is equipped with a 6 cylinder OHV engine and automatic transmission.
The car ran well when I bought it and has always been stored indoors under a cover by me.
.
I assume it will need a battery and a fuel pump as any car I've had needed the same after they sat for a bit.
Maybe new gas as well.
I'm not a mechanic so it may need something else There are a few soft bubbles in the red areas on both sides and it will need a small body repair to the r/s lower quarter.
