For Sale: 1975 Mercedes-Benz 450SL in Cadillac, Michigan for sale in Cadillac, MI
Vehicle Description The current owners of this 1975 Mercedes 450sl have owned it since July 2019.
Their plan was to fix the imperfections in the paint and enjoy the car for a while and then eventually do what is happening right now.
Long story short they couldn't get the paint correction to look right and with both of them being full time college students, they just don't have the time, money, or knowledge of fixing the paint themselves.
The reason for the paint chips along both sides of the car is the previous owner was an older gentleman that would park his other car next to this car and open the door hitting the beautiful Cayenne Orange doors.
They have put about 800 miles on it in 6 months and it has been 100% reliable.
The transmission shifts perfectly smooth with no slipping.
This car even has the original owner's manual and the Mercedes Benz tool kit in the trunk.
They have the maintenance records going back to the late 90s, a pretty thick folder's worth.
Recent maintenance includes an oil change, brake flush, and a tie rod end link.
It does have a small oil leak, it will need a half quart in about every month.
The tires in the rear still have plenty of tread, but they do look a little old.
The blower motor works and heat works, but the air conditioning could use a recharge.
The other maintenance item that it could use is an alignment but it isn't bad.
The Good:
It has 72,XXX miles, the interior is in great condition, maintenance records are in tact, recent maintenance has been done, and it has the Mercedes tool kit and jack.
What it Needs:
Paint correction, an alignment, oil leak fixed, new tires in the rear, speakers/radio, and an air conditioning recharge.
