The Assistant Production Team Leader is a key associate at Hope Network whose primary responsibilities include: This position is responsible for assisting the Production Team Leader or Vocational Supervisor in the training, motivation and coordination of production workers whether they are staff or trainees. The Asst. Production Team Leader is expected to maintain or exceed Hope Network production standards for quality per ISO and or contracting company guidelines, industrial safety standards, and productivity with the team of trainees assigned to him/her. Would they be responsible to complete production paperwork and time studies? Develop plan and work set up to assure product timelines are met per customers need.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This is not intended to be an exhaustive listing of job functions. 1. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position.
2. Assume role and responsibilities of Production Team Leader in his/her absence.
3. Advise staff and/or trainees of safety guidelines, potential hazards and review tornado/fire procedures as well as other environmental emergencies4. Help develop and maintain process that assures consumer trainees will meet production quality and productivity standards and customer timeliness needs.
5. Keep work area safe and clear of safety hazards. Report all safety issues and accidents to supervisor.
6. Be thoroughly familiar with operation of production machinery in assigned facility including but not limited to OSHA and ISO standards
7. Promote, demonstrate, and maintain positive communication regarding the facility assigned, consumer trainees, and HN staff.8. Assist Supervisor in development and maintenance process that assures consumer trainees will meet production quality and productivity standards.
9. Assist in orientation and training of new production staff and/or trainees to the work area, facility, safety guidelines, potential hazards and work rules.
10. Successfully execute production schedules on a daily basis to meet customer deadlines. Plan ahead as needed to ensure that resources (PW's, supplies, equipment, etc.) are ready as required for schedules. Minimize downtime. Communicate any obstacles to proactively communicate issues which could affect customer service (quality, delivery, etc.) Work to prevent downtime and plan for changeovers.
11. Other departmental duties as assigned.
Educational / Talent Requirements:
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Ability to plan for the day in and efficient manner in order to complete production schedule.
3. Ability to monitor and assess competencies of workers and address issues that do not meet expected standards.
4. Must be a good problem-solver.
5. Must possess basic computer skills.
6. Valid driver's license with driving record acceptable according to Hope Network policy.
7. Ability to perform basic troubleshooting of production equipment.
8. Must be self-directed and possess a positive "can-do" attitude.
Work Experience Requirements:
1. One or more years working in a production setting.
2. Ability to work flexible hours to meet production needs.
3. Experience operating a hi-lo or forklift is preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
